We are pleased to announce that Dr. Hirai recently participated in the MicroTAS2025 in Adelaide, Australia on 2-6 November, 2025. Our lab. had the honor of presenting the following research:
Presentation Title: Microfluidic Platform for Multiple Sequential Chemical Stimuli with Bidirectional Flow: Enabling Diffracted X-ray Tracking Method of TRPV1 Dynamics
Authors: Kaito Shimizu, Yusuke Asagoe, Hirofumi Shimizu, and (Presenter) Yoshikazu Hirai
📌 This microfluidic device enables the real-time observation of stimulus-specific conformational changes in TRPV1 channels at the single-molecule level using DXT (Diffracted X-ray Tracking). Our approach overcomes conventional single-stimulus limitations by enabling uniform and reversible switching among acidic, neutral, and capsaicin-containing solutions, leading to understand how ion channels transition across diverse chemical environments.
👏 👏 We are proud of Mr. Kaito Shimizu for his excellent work and grateful for the opportunity to exchange ideas with researchers from around the world.
